Our Story
Our Story
Family Built. Cape Cod Proud. Crafted with Heart.
At Daughter's Hand Home Improvement, we believe a home is more than just four walls and a roof. It's where families grow, memories are made, and generations come together. That belief is exactly what inspired us to build our family-owned business right here on beautiful Cape Cod.
Our story began with a father and son sharing a passion for carpentry, hard work, and doing things the right way.
I had the privilege of starting this company alongside my father, a talented craftsman with over 30 years of experience in carpentry, from framing to finish work. He's taught me more than just how to swing a hammer or build something that lasts. He's shown me the importance of honesty, dedication, taking pride in your work, and always putting family first. He's not only an incredible carpenter but also an amazing father and grandfather.
And that's where the heart of our company comes in — my daughter.
She's the inspiration behind our name, Daughter's Hand. She loves adding her own little touch of creativity to our projects, reminding us that building something special isn't just about the tools in your hands, but the love and imagination you put into it. Whether she's sharing ideas or bringing a smile to the job, she's a reminder of why we work so hard and what we're building for the future.
Of course, no family business runs smoothly without someone keeping everything organized behind the scenes. That's where my mother comes in! From handling paperwork to answering phones and helping keep the business running, she's an important part of everything we do.
Out in the field, I have the pleasure of working alongside our lead carpenter, Michael LaPlant, another Cape Cod native with deep local family roots. Michael is an exceptional finish carpenter with a sharp eye for detail and a passion for quality craftsmanship. His skill, dedication, and pride in his work make him an invaluable part of our team.
Together, we bring generations of knowledge, local experience, creativity, and genuine care to every project we take on.
We're not a big corporation. We're a family, working alongside people we trust, serving the communities we grew up around and the neighbors who make Cape Cod such a special place to call home.
Whether we're improving a single room, tackling a renovation, or putting the finishing touches on a project, we approach every job with the same mindset: Treat every home with respect, take pride in every detail, and build something we'd be proud to put our family name on.
Because at Daughter's Hand Home Improvement, we're not just building and improving homes.
We're building a legacy for the next generation, one project at a time.
From our family to yours, thank you for supporting our dream and trusting us with your home. ❤️🔨🏡
